Well, I just spent the MOST industrious day Sunday. I got up around 8:30, got on my computer, checked my e-mail and Shelfari and Facebook, opened the Sims 2 Double Deluxe that I bought the day before and put it in the computer.
The next thing I know, my son comes in and tells me he already ate lunch and could he have dessert. My next lucid moment made me realize that it was 5:30 and I hadn't done ANY of the things I had planned (washing clothes, organizing my spring clothes, putting the new comforter set on the bed).
When I looked at the clock and realized it was AGAIN 8:30 and I hadn't eaten anything all day in addition to all the chores I didn't do, I FINALLY closed the program and spent some time with my family!
So much for my Sunday!

It happened to us
It happened to us last September when we had a big wind storm. Only we didn't have a generator and when we went to get one.....none could be found to bye. We actually had some more wind damage the other night. Lost some shingles and some siding off the house again.
Hope everyone is ok. I think this blog is a great idea.

Refugee
Yes, refugee! Our power went out Wednesday night around 11:30 p.m. About 6:00 p.m. Thursday, we shipped Scooby (our poodle) out to the Beach (S.Sunset Beach Boarding) for the duration. Then we packed up and moved to a motel. We'll be there at least until Saturday and may have to stay somewhere Saturday night as well. Last estimate from the power company was Saturday Midnight. Rick is at home today trying to get our generator working so we don't lose everything in our freezers and refrigerators!
